WEDDING FAQ

How do payments work?

We require a 50% non-refundable retainer to hold your wedding date. We require the remaining 50%, no less than one week before your wedding date.

 

Do you accept payment plans?

Sure thing! We do require the 50% up front to book and you must be paid in full week before the wedding. Outside of that, we'd be happy to arrange a payment plan with you. In the past, we've set up monthly payments, or three to four payment installations that occur over time. We are more than willing to work out a unique payment plan with you!

 

Can I just hire you for an engagement session and not a wedding?

Yes, you can! You know we'd love to photograph both, but we're always up for an engagement session. Refer to our investment page on e-session cost and coverage.

 

Do you photograph destination weddings?

Absolutely! Within in Canada!

 

Do you provide partial day coverage?

Currently, Poppy and Clover Photography doesn't offer partial wedding day coverage. Check out our wedding package prices to see which package is the best suit for your wedding. Start times are when you need me.

 

How long does it take to get my pictures?

Poppy and Clover Photography works diligently to edit your photographs and get them to you in a timely fashion. Our typical delivery rate runs between 12 weeks during the slower season and up to two months out during our busiest season. We want to make sure every image and product is perfect!

 

How do I book with you?

All you have to do is contact us to request your date. The Poppy and Clover Photography availability calendar is online on the booking page, so you can check there, first, if you like. Once you have a date, we request a 50% non-refundable retainer. This locks you in for that date and ensures nobody else can book on the same day!

 

I have more questions for you. What's the best way to reach you?

You can give us a ring, shoot us an email or even drop us a note on Facebook, and we'll get back to you within 24 hours. No question is silly and we're here to help out and make sure you're 100% filled in.

 

Do you provide a wedding album?

Yes, they are sold separately, most of our packages come with a print credit which you can use towards the album.

 

Can I hire an additional photographer to shoot our wedding?

The contract you sign states that Poppy and Clover Photography photographers are the only photographers allowed to shoot on your wedding day. This helps promote our creativeness and ensures you get the best photos. We do offer additional shooters depending on the photo package you choose. As long as guests do not infringe upon our space, they can take pictures with their cameras/phones.

Do you provide customized packages?

Not all weddings are the same -- we get it! For that reason, we may provide a customized wedding package to suit your needs. These customized packages are for weddings that are far outside the norm (for example, a very short, intimate wedding between only parents and the bride/groom). Talk to us and we'll make it work!

 

How far in advance should I book my wedding? 

As soon as possible. 

Weekends tend to book up quickly, especially during peak wedding season.

 

How do I determine which package suits my needs? 

Each wedding package includes a pre-event consultation where we can meet up in person or by phone. We will have the chance to go over your budget and what exactly you envision!  Or if what you see on our website works for you, remember the start times on the website are not the times we start. We start when you want us to!

 

Are there extra costs to have the images edited?

No. You will have a gallery of hand-edited photos fixed to perfection.

 

Do you make all the couples have a first look, or is it optional? 

Not at all. This is completely optional. Both options have their perks and are a personal choice.

 

Do you come to our rehearsal dinner? 

The simple answer is yes, I want to ensure that I know the layout of the location of the wedding.

 

Do you bring assistants? 

Yes. I always have one assistant or a second shooter.

 

Do you have to eat a plated meal at the reception?

It would be so kind of you if you provided a meal. However, it is not requested. I do require a break to eat during the reception at some point quickly. From sun up to sundown, I am putting all my efforts into making your day special. Having a nice meal will give me the energy to keep the party going! If I go on break, I prefer to eat when you eat. Who wants photos of them with their mouths full, anyways?

 

How do I book you? 

I have provided my contact information on my website. Feel free to call, text, or email me! You can also book directly on the website.

 

When is the remaining amount due? 

Any owed balance is due 7 days prior to the event.

 

What forms of payment do you take? 

Cash, debit/credit card, and e-transfer.

 

How far do you travel to photograph a wedding?

As far as you need me to. Although anything over 300km from Yorkton will have a nominal fee. My bags are packed!
